Landscapes & Climate
Mallorca is renowned for having one of the most diverse landscapes in the Mediterranean, where sandy beaches, fertile plains, and dramatic mountains co-exist as one. Protected by the over-arching Serra de Tramuntana mountains, Mallorca also offers guests a warm climate throughout the year.
Mountain Villages & the West Coast
Along the island's western edge, the Tramuntana mountains create some of the most stunning village settings. One of which is Deia, a village known for its houses of ochre, artistic heritage, and Michelin-starred restaurants. Further north, Soller is also a top choice for those seeking a refined countryside retreat in Mallorca.
Coastal Towns & Northern Shores
When we look beyond the west, Mallorca's coastline reveals distinct regions with their own personality and charm. In the south of the island, Puerto Andratx is known for its elegant marina, coastal villas, and undeniable air of sophistication. To the north, Pollenca, Puerto Pollenca, Alcanada, and Santa Margalida invite travellers with their expansive beaches, clear waters, and traditional island charm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Mallorca portfolio spans restored fincas and rural estates in the Tramuntana mountains, contemporary villas with direct water access along the northeast and southwest coasts, and properties in and around Deià, Valldemossa, and Sóller. See the beautiful Vista Andratx and Villa de Olivos Our team is happy to shortlist options based on your dates, group size, and how you like to spend your time.
A private driver in Mallorca is, in our experience, the most practical arrangement – the Tramuntana mountain roads in particular are narrow and steep, and navigating them in an unfamiliar vehicle takes the pleasure out of the journey. We work with trusted driver partners who know the island well – speak to your TLTB contact to confirm the right arrangement ahead of arrival.
Palma de Mallorca Airport is well connected from most major European cities, with transfer times ranging from around 15 minutes for central Palma to over an hour for the northeast coast. A dedicated meet-and-greet transfer is always our recommendation – share your flight details with us and we’ll ensure your driver is ready and waiting.
Palma’s old city offers culture, markets, and independent boutiques within easy walking distance, while the southwest around Port d’Andratx has a quieter, more established feel popular with those arriving by yacht. The northeast coastline around Artà retains some of the island’s most unspoiled coves, and the inland villages offer a version of rural Mallorca largely untouched by tourism.
Deià occupies a steep hillside above a rocky cove on the western Tramuntana coast and has drawn artists, writers, and discerning travellers since Robert Graves made it his home in 1929. The village has changed remarkably little – the cove remains accessible only on foot, and the walking directly from the village is among the finest on the island. Our portfolio includes properties within the municipality for guests who want the particular sense of arrival that only a private house can provide.
The drive through the Serra de Tramuntana is one of the finest in the Mediterranean and pairs naturally with lunch in one of the mountain villages. A private charter to the waters off the western coast makes for an exceptional day on the water – we’re happy to suggest and arrange day trips based on your interests and where you’re staying.
Santa Catalina is Palma’s most dynamic food neighbourhood, packed with tapas bars, vermouth spots, and modern restaurants, while Palma’s Old Town offers a more traditional experience with classic Mallorcan dishes centred around the lively Mercat de l’Olivar. Beyond the capital, Deià on the northwest coast is a favourite for creative, spectacular dining, and the hilltop villages of the Serra de Tramuntana are home to rustic restaurants serving traditional dishes like frito mallorquín and suckling pig with breathtaking mountain views.
