One of Europe’s most popular holiday destinations, the Algarve offers a year-round mild and sunny climate and a 200 kilometre coastline of beaches. Many of our Algarve luxury rental villas are close to the walled coastal town of Lagos, full of historical interest with its origins dating back as far as 2000 BC. Both Lagos and nearby Praia da Luz offer a good choice of restaurants, bars and extensive nightlife. The beaches here offer great opportunities for watersports – surfing, water skiing and windsurfing, and also sailing, diving, deep-sea fishing and motor and sailboat cruises. Golf is available close by at Boavista, Palmares and Parque da Floresta courses, as well as others further afield. Alternatively, jeep safaris, horseback riding, tennis, clay pigeon shooting, lawn bowling or micro-light flying can also be arranged. Three of our most beautiful luxury villas to rent in Algarve are very close to the small town of Salema, in the most western part. Salema is located at the base of a cliff around the beach with the same name and is part of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Algarve coast. On Salema beach, we also have a charming small beach house to rent. Salema is one of the few communities that has a small indigenous fishing fleet of traditional colourful boats. Freshly caught fish can be enjoyed in the local restaurants on the same night. The sandy gently sloping beach and gently sloping, it is ideal for swimming and safe for children. The town of Lagos to the east, and Sagres to the west, are just 15 kms away.
