Discover Barcelona
A beautiful city set between the mountains and the sea, with a wealth of history and culture, dating from medieval times, to the modernist movement of the late 19th century, and to the more recent ultra-modern development within the city, Barcelona has much to discover and enjoy. The main sightseeing areas of the city (covered by the red and blue route bus tours which run regularly throughout the day) are divided into three. The Montjuic area to the south-west of the city, with its open spaces, incorporates the site of the 1992 Olympic Stadium, while the Old Town to the south-east, with its narrow streets and wonderful Gothic architecture, is rapidly becoming the most trendy part of the city with its numerous new bars and boutiques. In contrast, Eixample, to the north-east is comprised of long straight boulevards with smart shops and hotels, and numerous examples of the superb Modernist architecture.
Some of our luxury rental apartments in Barcelona are in the Old Town, or more specifically in the up and coming area of El Born, near the beautiful 14th century Gothic church of 'Santa Maria del Mar'. The character-filled streets here are full of tempting boutiques, tapas bars, cafes and restaurants. Close by is the historic tree-lined avenue of 'Las Ramblas', leading down to the sea, and filled with everything from flower stalls to tarot readers and street musicians. Just off 'Las Ramblas' is the famous 'La Boqueria' food market which, with its magnificent array of local produce, is an experience in itself to visit, and a must if you want to self-cater.
Other luxury apartments to rent are close to the Passeig de Gràcia, and in the traditional residential area of the Eixample district, close to Gaudi's La Pedrera, and a short walk from the Plaça Catalunya. Some luxury apartment rentals are by the sea at Barceloneta and in Poblenou, or in the areas of Poble Sec and Gracia. Being so centrally located, our luxury apartment rentals in Barcelona offer a unique opportunity to live and feel like a local within this great city.

For stays in El Born or the Barri Gòtic, much of daily life is walkable, but a private driver in Barcelona is invaluable for evening dining, airport transfers, and day trips beyond the city. We work with a small number of trusted, discreet drivers and can arrange dedicated transport for the duration of your stay.
Barcelona El Prat Airport is around 20–30 minutes from the city centre depending on your neighbourhood and time of day. A pre-arranged private transfer is the most seamless arrival experience – let us organise this ahead of your trip.
El Born rewards slow mornings with coffee at Bar del Pla and browsing boutiques on Carrer del Rec, while the Barri Gòtic is best navigated without a map. Gràcia has the feel of a self-contained village, and Eixample’s broad boulevards are home to Gaudí’s finest residential buildings and some of the city’s best wine bars.
Barcelona is defined by Gaudí’s genius – the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, with its mosaics and sweeping city views, are unmissable. The Gothic Quarter rewards wanderers with medieval landmarks like the Barcelona Cathedral and the Picasso Museum, while La Rambla and the legendary La Boqueria market capture the city’s vibrant, colourful soul.
Montserrat is under an hour by car and best visited early; the Penedès wine region is a 40-minute drive and home to producers including Torres and Gramona. For coastline, the medieval village of Begur and Cap de Creus in the Costa Brava are both within two hours – we can arrange private drivers and tailored itineraries for either.
