The locations are on, or very near, the southern coast of Sri Lanka, many in the bay of Galle, and close to the Galle Fort. The Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1588 before being extensively fortified by the Dutch in the mid 1600’s. Recognised by UNESCO for its cultural heritage value, the Fort was declared a World Heritage Site in 1988. Evidence of the Dutch influence can still be seen in the picturesque narrow streets.

Other holiday villa rentals are in Weligama Bay, about 30 kms east of Galle, with a two kilometre sandy beach, ideal for those learning to surf. Other beach destinations include Mirissa and Tangalle, the latter a more developed beach destination. In Tangalle we are offering some stunning luxury, and very private, villas to rent within the grounds of a 5-star luxury hotel. Dickwella is also known for its long sandy beach which is protected by headlands, reefs and sand-bars, making it safer for swimming. Dickwella is also the location of Sri Lanka's largest seated Buddha statue, which is 50 metres tall! Koggala is another villa location, between Galle and Ahangama, and has a beautiful temple as well as a huge fresh water lake. The Ahangama area is also known for its excellent surfing beaches. We also feature a villa at stunning Talalla Beach, an almost untouched tropical paradise of white sand fringed by green palm trees.
