Situated in a beautiful hilltop location, the Villa Castiglione Ugolino luxury villa to rent in Umbria is an ancient castle, and adjoining church, dating back to the XI century, which has been meticulously renovated and converted into a unique villa. The interior of impressive church of Santa Maria Maddalena is adorned with beautiful hand-painted decorations. With wonderful views over rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards, it offers the perfect location for a wedding or other special occasion, as well as a holiday choice for an extended family or group of friends. The accommodation is in both the main villa, which sleeps up to 12 guests, and an annex directly opposite, which sleeps up to 8 guests. There is also additional accommodation for guests in the various other villas and apartments on the huge estate.

The outdoor spaces are equally inviting, with beautiful landscaped gardens; and a large infinity swimming pool (14 x 4m, 1.5m deep), which can be heated on request (at no extra cost). Guests can relax outdoors on the sun loungers surrounding the pool, or in the shaded courtyard. A covered pergola also offers wonderful sunset views, and there is a panoramic furnished terrace, ideal for dinner under the stars. Inside the luxury villa to rent in Umbria, the rooms feature vaulted ceilings, reclaimed terracotta tiles floors, XIII^ century frescos, and travertine marble stairs, creating a unique ambience which combines traditional materials with modern comforts. With two well equipped kitchen, one in the main house, and one in the annex, kitchens, there is also air conditioning throughout, and a Bluetooth sound system as well.  Heating is available on request.

There is also a wide range of local experiences for guests available on request. A concierge team is available to arrange everything from in-villa spa services, cooking lessons, wine tastings, biking trips, truffle-hunting excursions, day trips to nearby hill towns, or a round of golf at the adjacent 18-hole Antognolla course. With a small grocery store just a 2 minute drive away, and the village of Pierantonio, a 10 minute drive, guests can purchase local produce to cook at the villa, or request a private chef, or enjoy delicious typically Umbrian dishes at the estate’s restaurant, Il Caldaro. A shuttle service to the restaurant for dinner can also be provided. The property can also be rented for smaller groups of up to 12 people (please check with us for prices).

• Pool Heating: Not included; pricing is based on consumption if requested. Pool heating is unavailable from November to April and is subject to weather conditions.
• Linen & Towels: Weekly linen and pool towel change for stays of two consecutive weeks or more. Bathroom towels changed twice per week.
• Shuttle Service: To/from the Estate restaurant Il Caldaro for dinner, available daily by prior reservation. Maximum of 8 passengers per trip. Multiple round trips per villa are not available.
