Perched on the ridge of Monte Tauro, directly below the hilltop town of Taormina, the Monte Tauro luxury villa enjoys breathtaking views stretching from Letojanni Beach to Capo Sant’Alessio. A flight of approximately 100 steps leads directly into the heart of Taormina, while the nearby cable car provides easy access between the town and the beach. Combining peaceful surroundings with exceptional views, the villa offers the perfect base for those wishing to enjoy both the vibrant town and the coastline without the need for a car.

Inside, the villa blends traditional Sicilian character with elegant contemporary comfort. The spacious living room features terracotta-tiled floors, crisp white sofas, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto the terrace and swimming pool. A striking fireplace, framed by an impressive 18th-century stone portal, forms the centrepiece of the room, while hundreds of rare majolica tiles adorn the staircase and bathrooms, adding unique architectural charm throughout the property.

The beautiful Sicilian-style kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator, double range cooker, and zinc fittings, and opens directly onto the dining area, creating a welcoming space for shared meals and entertaining.

A staircase leads to the upper floor, where three double bedrooms each open onto a large panoramic terrace. One bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom, while the remaining two share a spacious bathroom.

Separate from the main house is a private studio featuring a double bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchenette, with direct access to the swimming pool (10 x 5m).

From the pool terrace, a staircase leads down to a lower level where four additional double bedroom suites are located. Each suite includes a kitchenette, a small living area, a private bathroom, a heated Jacuzzi, and generous outdoor space for relaxing in the sunshine.

The villa’s outdoor living areas are equally impressive, with a panoramic swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, a large Jacuzzi, outdoor showers, a barbecue, and an al fresco dining area. As the sun sets, guests can unwind in the Jacuzzi with a drink in hand while taking in sweeping views of one of Sicily’s most spectacular coastal landscapes.

Ideally located for exploring the best of Taormina, the property is within easy reach of the town’s most iconic sights. Just 1 km away, the magnificent Ancient Theatre of Taormina (Teatro Antico di Taormina) offers a fascinating glimpse into the area’s Greco-Roman history, with spectacular views of Mount Etna and the Ionian coastline. Also within a short stroll, Corso Umberto is the town’s vibrant main street, lined with boutique shops, cafés and historic architecture, while the nearby Piazza IX Aprile is the perfect spot to relax and admire panoramic sea views. Nature lovers can visit Isola Bella, a picturesque island nature reserve connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand, where crystal-clear waters provide excellent opportunities for swimming and snorkelling.
