The Villa Mochlos II luxury villa to rent on Crete is one of two new villas on the same estate, just a short walk from the picturesque fishing village of Mochlos on the island’s east coast, midway between Sitia and Agios Nikolaos (each approximately 45 minutes’ drive). Although completely private, with separate outdoor spaces and swimming pools, the two villas can also be rented together for groups of up to six people (or ten with use of sofa beds).

Offering all the ingredients for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, this luxury villa rental on Crete is also just a three-minute walk from the beach. Guests can enjoy meals at the traditional tavernas along Mochlos’s waterfront, serving delicious fresh food with wonderful sea views. Beside one of the tavernas is a natural rock pool, warmed by the sun during the day – perfect for unwinding while taking in the surroundings. Mochlos is also rich in ancient history, home to archaeological sites of the first colony of Minoan civilisation. The tiny island directly opposite the village, accessible by boat, has revealed through excavations a pre-palatial cemetery, several tombs, and many other Minoan-era buildings.

The interiors of this luxury holiday villa span two floors, designed and furnished with taste and simplicity. Inspired by the natural Cretan landscape and the sea, the décor combines natural colours, mortar flooring, and handmade artworks, including ceramic sculptures by Melina Xenaki (Krikri Collection). Air conditioning is provided throughout. Outdoors, the private swimming pool features floating sunbeds, while the terrace is lined with comfortable beanbag chairs. Guests can also enjoy a covered outdoor living and dining area.
