Antiparos is just 30 minutes by ferry from Parikia, the main town and port on the larger island of Paros. It can also be reached in just 8 minutes by car ferry from Pounta in the south of Paros (situated between the town and airport), a service which runs every half hour from dawn to after midnight. The regular ferry service enables visitors to dine out in Paros and return to Antiparos for the night, or vice versa.
The main town here is at the northeastern tip of the island, opposite Pounta, with the Venetian castle of Antiparos at its historical centre. The picturesque streets here are lined with shops, and a good choice of cafés and restaurants. Antiparos is popular for its sandy beaches, which include Psaraliki, Soros, Kampos, Glyfa, Apantima, Agios Spyridonas and Monastiria. Vathis Volos, on the southern side of the island, is a great beach from where to enjoy at sunset. Antiparos beaches can be accessed by foot from the main town or by bus, or by hire car if bringing a car over from Paros.

Antiparos is best explored on foot or by scooter for shorter distances. For beach transfers and evening dining a private driver or water taxi is the most practical option. We work with a small number of trusted local operators and can arrange dedicated transport for the duration of your stay.
The most convenient route is via Paros – a short car ferry from Pounta takes under ten minutes, with fast boats also running from Parikia harbour. Paros is served by ferry from Piraeus and by its own airport with seasonal flights. A pre-arranged transfer covering both legs is the most seamless arrival – let us organise this ahead of your trip.
The main village is the quiet heart of island life – a single main street, a handful of excellent restaurants, and an evening volta at a pace entirely its own. The medieval Venetian kastro, still inhabited, is one of the best preserved in the Cyclades and rewards an unhurried morning.
Paros is the natural first excursion – Naoussa, Parikia, and the hilltop village of Lefkes are all within easy reach. Despotiko, a small uninhabited island to the south, is home to an ancient sanctuary of Apollo and reachable by private boat – one of the more quietly extraordinary excursions in the Cyclades. We can arrange charters and itineraries for either.
The harbour tavernas are the heart of the dining scene – fresh fish, local wine, and waterfront tables that encourage long unhurried evenings. For the most considered meal on the island, Anargyros on the main square is the enduring local favourite – honest Cycladic cooking in the most effortlessly charming of settings.
