The Villa Montalbano luxury villa to rent in Sicily is situated near the south coast, just 6 kms from the beach. This beautiful area is also known for being the location where the TV series, Inspector Montalbano, was filmed. In particular, the towns of Scicli, Ragusa and Modica, which were used as sets for the series, are within a 30 minute drive. The property is also just 9 kms from the long expanses of sand in Donnalucata and Sampieri just south of Scicli, also associated with Montalbano – and moreover, are some of the most beautiful beaches in this part of Sicily.

Inside, the property has been beautifully renovated by the architect son of the owner, who has retained the original features, while adding modern comforts and amenities. The ground floor living rooms, dining room and kitchen all flow into each other, and all have French doors opening to the terrace. The master bedroom is also on the ground floor, and has two bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower. Open stairs (with no railing) lead to the upper floor where there are a further two bedrooms (which can be made up as twins or doubles) each with its own bathroom (with shower). Further amenities include internet access, satellite TV, DVD, hi-fi stereo, a washing machine and a dishwasher.
