This stunning Calle San Jose 1 luxury apartment to rent is in a 17th Century Palace in the very heart of Seville, just 5 minutes’ walk from the Cathedral and the Giralda.  The Palace has been renovated to house five separate apartments, which if rented together can accommodate up to 22 people.  The building was renovated by Rafael Manzano, one of the most influential classical architects, who has overseen the conservation and restoration of Seville’s Royal Palace complex (the Reales Alcázares) and the Alfonso XIII hotel. Enthusiasts of both architecture and history will delight in the classical structural details of the Palace, the large arcaded patio with Roman marble columns and fountains, the terraces and pergolas. The interiors of the building feature classical decorative tiling, woodwork, coffered ceilings and elaborate plaster mouldings, together with a unique collection of furniture and antiques carefully selected by the owners.

The building is accessed via heavy wooden doors and a large wrought-iron gate, which leads to an  open hallway which leads to a first patio, and then to a furnished, covered sitting area in which to relax and enjoy the main patio. The main entrance to the building is into a hallway giving access to the upper floors via a magnificent stairway and lift. Apartment 1 spans the whole of the first floor of the building, with 330m2 of space, and is the Palace’s most stately apartment. It has a stunning living area which conserves all the Baroque elements of the property, and an impressive collection of art, furniture and beautiful crystal lamps.

To add to the experience, the shared terraces on the third floor, are an oasis of green in the middle of the city, ideal for a leisurely breakfast, a quiet evening al fresco with friends, or sunbathing in the solarium – complete with rainfall shower. The third floor also houses the shared laundry room, with washing machine and dryer.
