The main square, lined with outdoor cafés and restaurants, also has a very popular weekly market which takes place every Sunday from 8am – 1pm. With the northern foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana as the backdrop, the town is just a few kilometres from the beautiful sandy beaches of the port. Throughout the year Pollensa also hosts various musical events and fiestas.
