From its position on a high plateau, this luxury villa to rent benefits from outstanding views over the Douro River. Built in the XVII century, the villa retains its original charm and character, while adding modern comforts. The luxury villa rental in the Douro Valley offers plenty of space for a relaxing holiday for a large family, or a group of friends.

The Quinta is surrounded by beautiful gardens and terraces, and there is also a swimming pool (6 x 12m, with Roman steps) in a stunning position, taking full advantage of the magnificent views over the vineyards and the river. There is also a pool house with WC and a kitchenette. Other activities here include a gym, converted from the old “lagares” (stone troughs in which grapes were trodden), and there is also a padel court, and a snooker table, for guests to enjoy. The wine cellar with traditional earthen floors, once used to maintain the ideal temperature and humidity for wine storing, now offers a special setting for a celebratory dinner, or a corporate get together.

The outdoor living and dining areas are furnished for relaxing outdoors during the long summer  days and evenings. Indoors, there are two separate sitting rooms, the main one with panoramic windows and a smaller sitting room with a card games table, and a fireplace, perfect for out of season stays when the weather is cooler.  Air-cooling and central heating available throughout the property, as well as fireplace logs, supplied for winter rentals. All six bedrooms at this luxury villa to rent in the Douro Valley have en-suite bathrooms, with four of the bedrooms also having direct access to the exterior.

Lower Level:

• Bedroom 7: 1 x double bed (160 x 200 cm), en-suite shower bathroom, garden, vineyard and river views

Optional extra rooms: Top-level triple room for children and extra twin bedroom (shared shower), plus a single bedroom with bathroom accessed from the garden.
