Perched on a high plateau along the banks of the Rio Torto, a tributary south of the Douro River, the villa is over 100 years old but has been recently renovated, offering the perfect relaxing retreat for a family or group of friends.
From its location at the heart of the Douro World Heritage Site, this luxury villa for rent in the Douro Valley is set on an organic vineyard estate that produces premium wine. Perched on a high plateau along the banks of the Rio Torto, a tributary south of the Douro River, the villa is over 100 years old but has been recently renovated, offering the perfect relaxing retreat for a family or group of friends.
The very well-equipped and comfortable interiors include a TV room with a 65-inch TV, all Sky Sports channels, a DVD player, and a Blu-ray player – ideal for cinema evenings or escaping the hottest hours of the day. This room also opens onto a vine-covered pergola area for outdoor dining with a barbecue. The luxury villa rental in the Douro Valley features a swimming pool (15 x 6 m, depth 1.2–2.5 m, Roman steps access), which can be heated, as well as a table tennis and football table. Mosquito nets are fitted on all windows.
As a wine-producing estate, the villa rental includes a guided tour of the winery and a tasting. The estate also produces olive oil for guests to enjoy during their stay and boasts fruit trees yielding delicious seasonal produce such as cherries, figs, damsons, peaches, apples, pears, oranges, and lemons.
