The property is ideal for those seeking a slower pace, with enriching activities such as horse riding, yoga, cooking lessons, and regional wine tasting all on offer. For guests looking to turn up the tempo, the concierge can also arrange poolside DJs or even a lively game of water polo. Designed with equestrians in mind, the farmhouse includes dedicated horse stay facilities, featuring a large paddock, a riding arena, and access to the full expanse of the estate for exploring on horseback. Whether you bring your own horses or simply wish to learn more, the experienced team are on hand to take care of all your equine needs – even offering stable management courses so you can get hands-on experience in horse care. This is more than a holiday home – it’s a carefully curated escape into the soulful heart of the Alentejo.

The property consists of a private salt-treated swimming pool, a barbecue terrace, and numerous outdoor areas designed for rest and relaxation while on holiday. The inviting pool, complete with Roman steps, provides the perfect escape during hot summer days. Measuring 8 by 12 metres, with a shallow end of 90cm and a deep end of 160cm, it offers ample space for both lounging and swimming. Open during the summer months, the pool area includes a poolside shower and WC, a shaded seating area, sun loungers, and pool towels for added comfort. For something truly special, the space can be transformed into an open-air cinema – allowing you to take a refreshing dip while enjoying a film under the stars.

The property offers several programs that are tailored to suit guests, including horse-riding, jogging, spinning, swimming. Activities in the local area include golf, cultural visits to historic UNESCO places, visits to the most prestigious wine cellars in the Alto Alentejo region with wine-tasting and lunches at fantastic restaurants. Providing a very special boutique farm stay near the heart of the town in Praça da República, decorated by orange trees and a fountain. City Hall is framed by a square and several Baroque palaces dating back to the 18th century. As well as a chapel that is totally covered in bones and human skulls. There is plenty of sightseeing to do around and about including the ​House Museum Jose Regio, the Cathedral Portalegre and the Village of Nisa. Definitely make time to explore the Berardo Estremoz Museum, which has the largest and most important private collection of tiles in Portugal or the Antique market on Sunday in Estremoz.

Monforte, the closest town to the farm, has been the site of horse racing since the Roman times. Guests can enjoy a magnificent riding experience around the farm and through the surrounding properties. There are a number of owners and breeders of Arabian horses in the area.

Cellar visits can be arranged to some of the best-established Portuguese estates where wine-making has been a tradition for several generations, as well as some new wineries, which are producing some of the country’s finest wines. Concierge can help identify some of the best wine cellars to visit in the area, as well as recommend one offering wine events and wine tasting classes.

Discover Alentejo from a 360 degree view from the sky in a hot air balloon and gain unique dimensions of the majestic historic buildings and beautiful landscape or enjoy the musical entertainment of fado sevillanas with/without horses, the flamenco or Alentejo songs’ group. There is no light pollution and the view of the stars at night is breath-taking with multiple spots that are perfect to grab a glimpse of a shooting star or view the constellations. Bring your bike along and discover the local area of Monforte on two wheels, with 87 hectares of farm land and mountain bike trails adjacent to the property as well as the Monforte town centre to venture into.
