Close by is the Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, with its wonderful Carpaccio paintings, the Dominican Basilica di Santi Giovanni e Paolo (one of the largest churches in Venice and burial place of no fewer than 25 Venetian Doges), and Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Even closer is the Church of San Lorenzo (now closed to the public, but the supposed resting place of famous Venetian explorer Marco Polo (1255-1324) before his body was lost during its rebuilding) and the Museo di Dipinti Sacri Byzanti (Museum of Icons) just along the canal. Also within easy reach is the local Punto supermarket for easy self-catering and to the vaporetto (water bus) stop at San Zaccaria on the Riva Degli Schiavoni waterfront.

The room’s eclectic furnishings add to its unique appeal, making it an inviting space to relax after a day of exploring Venice. There is additionally a single sofa bed for young kids.

An arched glazed doorway, framed by delicate conservatory-style trompe l’oeil decoration, opens into a bright, fully equipped west-facing kitchen, which boasts spectacular views from its two rear windows.

The apartment features two beautifully designed bedrooms, each located on opposite sides of the space. One is adorned with splendid exposed beams, built-in wardrobes, and a comfortable double bed. The second bedroom, a charming twin, mirrors the same elegant style with exposed beams and two single beds. A walk-in closet provides additional storage, while two stylish bathrooms complete the layout—one featuring a small bath and distinctive chequerboard flooring, and the other offering a WC and washbasin for convenience.
