The luxury Apartment Moresco to rent in Venice is perfectly located in the Dorsoduro, between the Guggenheim Collection and the Zattere promenade. It is just a short walk from the Santa Maria della Salute church and to the Punta Della Dogana Centre of Contemporary Art at Dorsoduro’s eastern tip, and close to a fine variety of eating places and bars including Ai Gondolieri and Ristorante Riviera for fine dining, and Osteria Al Squero and Cantinone Gia Schiavi for wine and cicchetti. It is also close to a supermarket at the western end of the Zattere, and to four vaporetto stops – Zattere Spirito Santo, Zattere, Salute and Accademia.
Facing south, the beautifully renovated apartment is accessed through an independent entrance and hallway on the ground floor, with a staircase leading up to the apartment on the first and second floors. Moorish in design, yet Venetian in spirit, the furnishings are exquisite, with designer textiles, superb hand-crafted finishes and wonderful lighting.
A wonderful new apartment, meticulously restored to provide the most pleasurable combination of luxury and charm possible, and featuring fittings and furnishings carefully selected, designed and made to measure to make the surroundings and ambience as bright, cheerful and as enjoyable! as can be.
3 Bedrooms & 1 Sofa Bed – Up to 7 Guests
The apartment enjoys the convenience of an independent entrance, leading into a welcoming vestibule hallway. From here, a staircase ascends to the heart of the home, offering a sense of privacy and exclusivity.
The first floor opens into a bright and elegant sitting room, where soothing eau-de-nil ‘Venetian Marmorino’ polished plaster walls, whitewashed timber beams, and matching flooring create a refined yet cozy ambiance. Ample seating makes this an inviting space for relaxation.
Just beyond, the dining area comfortably seats up to six guests in stylishly upholstered chairs around a circular dining table. A feature wall adorned with Cole & Son’s ‘Palm’ wall-covering adds a chic and sophisticated touch. The kitchen, custom-built in a striking teal green, is fully fitted with travertine worktops and high-end Miele appliances, including an oven and fridge, making it both practical and visually stunning.
The sleeping quarters on this floor include two beautifully designed bedrooms. The master bedroom, adorned with smart Tapet-Cafe ‘Deco Fan’ wallpaper and fabric, features a plush double bed, a mirrored wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a Bisazza mosaic, bathtub, and shower.
The second bedroom, bathed in a dreamy powder-blue reminiscent of Morocco’s Chefchaouen, is furnished with a French-size (small double) bed and a mirror-and-fretwork-fronted wardrobe. This charming room also enjoys an en-suite bathroom, styled in mocha Marmorino with a shower enclosed in Moroccan-inspired lapis and clay-colored tiling. A striking staircase with an original wrought-iron, wooden-topped balustrade leads to the upper floor.
On the second floor, the spacious sitting/TV room beneath the eaves provides an inviting retreat. This cozy space includes a writing desk/study area and a luxurious double sofa-bed upholstered in smart herringbone fabric, making it a flexible and comfortable lounge or additional sleeping space.
The third bedroom, “Gondolieri’s Room”, bursts with character in a cheerful tangerine-orange hue. It features a well-dressed double bed, which can be split into twin beds upon request, and a pair of fabric-lined wardrobes, all set beneath ancient, burnished wooden beams. A stylish bathroom in blue Marmorino is also on this level, offering both a bathtub and a separate shower, accessed via a charming ‘bridge’ with a balustrade that crosses over the stairway below, adding a unique architectural element to the space.
A few steps lead to the crown jewel of the apartment—a superb, restored Altana terrace. Fully furnished for outdoor relaxation, this delightful rooftop retreat is the perfect spot to unwind with a chilled glass of Prosecco while taking in the enchanting Venetian skyline. With its blend of Venetian tradition and contemporary elegance, this beautifully curated apartment provides an exceptional stay in the heart of Venice.
