Studio Milani was commissioned to transform the previously compact rustic stone unit into the three main design segments visible today, made up of more modern minimal lines and seamless Corten steel and glass fittings. Inspired by the interaction between contemporary languages and landscape adorned with rustic charm, Villa Velari towers over the valley of olive trees and woods. The building is surrounded by ornate plants from the enclosed garden, flowing down towards the infinity pool that overlooks the valley.
Situated in a commanding position adorned by a panoramic glass wall is the living area with a sensational view or the swimming pool. Interiors work in complete harmony as the modern fireplace and large sofa allows a seamless flow into the dining room. Sunlight streaming in adds to the comfort of the cooking area. Prepare locally sourced seasonal Tuscan produce at the brushed black granite countertop island that forms part of the fully equipped kitchen featuring a double-door fridge and freezer, a microwave and multi-purpose electric oven, large induction hob with extractor hood, as well as a wine cellar and ice machine. Alternatively enjoy a buffer while on holiday from the outside world and reconnect with nature in the vast outdoor space. Fitted with a comfortable outdoor lounge area, the enclosed 8000 square metres garden hosts the 7mx14m infinity pool (fitted with hot water and motorised roller blind). The custom-built stone paved Jacuzzi overlooks the city of Volterra and its valley’s. There is a ping pong, badminton, football table to enjoy while on vacation.
