Within just 15 – 20 minutes drive there are many places of interest to visit – the Giusti Grottos with their hot thermal baths, the Monsummano caves, the Pistoia hills and mountains (skiing in the Winter) and the Svizzera Pesciatina. It is also near six 18 hole golf courses, a famous resort Spa, numerous vineyards and trattorias.

There are wonderful views from the property over the rolling Tuscan countryside. The villa is surrounded by 18 acres of olive groves, and a 3,000m2 garden. On the lower level is a large swimming pool (8 x 16m) with overflow and equipped with hydro massage for 8 people. The swimming pool also has an automatic system for maintaining the PH and of the chlorine in the water. The surrounding terrace is furnished with sunloungers and a dining area. On the upper level there is a BBQ and a pergola covered outdoor dining area. Under the pool area there is a big changing room with 2 showers and a bathroom. Next to this there is a fitness room with a complete Technogym machine for the developing and toning all the body muscles, a treadmill for running on the spot, and a gym bench plus weights.

The living areas have been refurbished throughout with an eye for detail, with antique furniture and doors, prints, paintings and Persian carpets. The very spacious living/dining room which seats up to 14 people, has a large 15th century fireplace. Modern comforts include air-conditioning and heating in all bedrooms, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, DVD and stereo. There are 4 bedrooms (three with king-size beds and one with two single beds, plus a double divan bed if needed). The main first-floor bedroom has its own bathroom. It also has a Turkish bath shower with aroma and light therapy. The second bedroom and the bedroom with twin beds share a bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi hydro – massage bath which also has scent and light therapy. The downstairs bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

N.B. This villa can be rented together with another villa very close by, also featured on our website, Monsummano Terme, for larger groups of up to 23- 29 guests. The owners can also arrange catering for weddings and other special events.

Layout

Ground Floor

Large living/dining room which seats up to 14 people and has a large 15th century fireplace, sofas and armchairs. There is also a lovely view of the garden and pool area as well as views looking up to the old town (the original town) of Monsummano Alto. Another sitting/living room leads to the big Tuscan kitchen with its own fireplace and antique-style oven. On this floor there is a bathroom with an antique basin and modern shower. There is also a double bedroom opening to a covered verandah with table and chairs (actually church pews) for eating overlooking the pool and hillside towns. Next to the kitchen there is the laundry with a large washing machine.

First Floor

A stone staircase with wrought iron 17th Century banister leads to the bedrooms. Master bedroom with bathroom (bath/shower over). Double bedroom which shares a bathroom (jacuzzi bath and shower) with the twin bedroom (can be made up as a double bed).
