Situated in the Pomino wine region, a 30 minute drive east of Florence, this unique luxury villa to rent is rich in history, dating back to the Renaissance period in the early 1400’s. Situated in the heart of the Val di Sieve within in its own park, surrounded by a 15th Century wall. The luxury villa rental in Tuscany has been recently totally refurbished throughout to its original glory, offering not only a rich history but also vineyards, Renaissance Gardens, and a Tuscan stone infinity swimming pool, tennis court and boccia.
The accommodation here includes 4 salons, 2 dining rooms, 7 bedrooms and bathrooms, a charming chapel, and a library, all recently restored and designed. Reflecting the long and interesting history of the villa, guests will enjoy wonderful antiques, stained glass windows and Coat of the Arms tapestries, art works and stone statues, all of which offer an authentic Tuscan experience. Each of the 7 bedrooms have been designed and decorated in Renaissance style.
For the more active, guests here will also be able to take long walks on the estate, or enjoy the tennis court, the boccia, or the gym, which is equipped with a TechnoGym rowing machine, weights and a bench press. Alternatively, you may choose to relax on one of the terraces and enjoy a glass of the property’s house wine. With 7 bedrooms, the holiday villa can accommodate up to 14 people, and with its salons, terraces, and halls, it is perfect for gatherings, including weddings, up to 20 persons. The Limoniaia is transformed into an entertainment pavilion, equipped with a semi professional kitchen and a large salon for dining and a bar. Just under the Limonaia there is the wine cellar.
7 Bedrooms – up to 14 guests
Each bedroom suite is named after a nobleman (or noblewoman), who was also the previous owner of the villa, taking you on a historical journey, from Tommaso Busini in 1423, to the glamorous Edith Story of 1846. All bedrooms have underfloor heating, air cooling, and Wifi, as well as stunning Tuscan countryside views.
Ground Floor: Maria Suite
First Floor: Simone Grand Suite, and Bindo Suite and Tommaso Junior Suite (both with private terraces). The Edith Junior Suite and Girolamo Superior Room.
The 12th century Torre di Ghibellini (Tower of the Ghibellines) houses the split-level Averardo Tower Suite offering an undeniable charm of its own.
The Girolamo Superior Room has a shower, while all the other suites have en-suite bathrooms, including a bath, shower, and bidet.
Limonaia – Private events up to 20 Persons
After Leonardo Busini, who owned the villa from 1574. Located in the limonaia (orangery), where citrus trees are still wintered, it offers breathtaking views of the Renaissance garden and the hills of Val di Sieve through its large steel-framed windows.
Covering 120 square meters (1,300 square feet), The Leonardo Limonaia comprises interconnected sections. The first, featuring an original stone wall and grand doors, opens onto a terrace with stunning Tuscan views. The second, hand-painted in soft tones, showcases the Peruzzi de Medici Coat of Arms and Greco-Roman columns.
Flooded with natural light, The Leonardo Limonaia blends serenity and elegance, making it ideal for relaxation or hosting private events for up to 20 guests.
