Just 15 km from Siena and 40 km from Florence, it offers the perfect base from which to explore Tuscany. Located along the river Massellone, Gaiole in Chianti provides a small supermarket, delicatessens, espresso bars, restaurants, banks, and a pharmacy. The area is also renowned for its wine estates, many open to visitors for tastings, including the famous Castello di Brolio, home to the noble Ricasoli family since the 12th century.

The villa itself has a rich history spanning 500 years, originally serving as a lookout during the wars between Florence and Siena. Its thick stone walls, central courtyard, strategic hilltop position, and watchtower all reflect this heritage. The property was also once part of the Rocca di Castagnoli estate, one of the area’s most celebrated wine and olive estates in the eighteenth century.

Surrounded by two hectares of secluded gardens filled with vines, olive and cypress trees, and local herbs, this stunning Tuscan villa offers exceptional outdoor living. The outdoor dining terrace seats up to 12 guests and features both a pizza oven and barbecue area. The heated infinity pool (12 × 6 m) is fenced from other garden areas and accessed via two lockable gates for the safety of young children. It also has a remote-controlled child safety cover. Children’s swings are available within the garden, and the large central courtyard can host events or private parties for up to 25 guests.

Inside, the villa boasts two sitting rooms, a dining room, a designer kitchen, five bedroom-and-bathroom suites, a games room, and a gym equipped with a treadmill and weight machines. The kitchen is very well equipped, with two dishwashers, two ovens, a wine fridge, and a gas cooker. The games room features a full-sized pool table and football table. Additional amenities include air conditioning in the bedrooms and dining room, Wi-Fi throughout, a laptop computer, a media library, two DVD players, and three flat-screen televisions, one with cable TV. For young children, there are two high chairs, cots and travel cots, as well as a wide selection of books, films, and toys. A laundry room with washing machine, dryer, and ironing facilities is also provided. Guests can access the private wine cellar at an additional cost.

• Guests will be charged Accidental Damage Waiver (ADW) of €150 to protect guests for up to €2,500 in accidental damages at the villa. For damages of a value which is above EUR 2,500 guests will be asked to pay based upon the value of the damage caused.
