Situated within the walls of the fortified hilltop village Barberino Val d’Elsa, in the heart of the Chianti region, is the Barberino Val d’Elsa luxury villa to rent in Tuscany. Florence and Siena are around 40 minutes drive from this charming vacation rental, and Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra and Arezzo, can all be reached in less than one hour by car. The rental villa has a beautiful garden to the rear of the house, with wonderful views of endless rolling hills and the skyline of San Gimignano in the distance. The village itself has two bars, a bank, a small shop, an excellent butcher, a restaurant, a wine bar, a hairdresser, a chemist, a post office and a small supermarket.
The main entrance to this luxury holiday rental in Tuscany is via a large wooden double door with a Renaissance stone cornice, leading into a courtyard, which opens to a large terrace with a pergola for meals outdoors. From the terrace steps lead down to the garden and the swimming pool (10 x 5m). The sunset views from here, as well as from the villa, over the open countryside, are magnificent.
The house was renovated throughout in 2008, with new kitchen, bathrooms, beds and upholstery.
