This luxury unique villa to rent in Puglia dates back to the 15th century when it was built as a fortified tower to protect the property from possible attacks from the sea. In the 17th century, the medieval tower was transformed into an impressive manor house, retaining the original ornate Baroque architecture. Surrounded by a huge estate of 4 hectares, including vineyards and centuries’ old olive trees, it offers guests the perfect holiday destination for yoga and nature retreats, as well as those interested in the culture, history and the traditions of the area.

Inside the medieval tower, there are numerous Baroque decorations, frescoes, arches, and various noble emblems of the property’s history.  Outside, in the park-like grounds there is also a private swimming pool (12 x 4m). The mild climate in winter means that guests at the luxury villa rental in Puglia will enjoy the outdoors in all seasons. Within the grounds fruit and vegetables grow all year round, including a charming citrus grove, decorated with columns. There is also a chef on site at the villa, who can be requested during guests’ stay, or just for special evenings. The property also has a natural cosmetic project which produces handmade soaps

The luxury villa to rent in Puglia is located close to the three Baroque towns of Galatone, Galatina and Nardò, an area rich in history, with many historical residences, palaces and “masserias”.  Guests will also be just a short drive from the sea on the Ionian coast, and its white sand beaches. The beach resort of Santa Maria al Bagno is situated in in a particularly lovely location with a beach enclosed on three sides by the village’s shops, cafes and restaurants. Guided tours can be arranged in the “Cenate” area of Nardò, between the sea and the town, known for its historical villas. Other activities include cycling, horseback riding on the beach, boat rental, bicycle rental (classic or electric), yoga classes, cooking classes, and olive oil and wine tasting among the various well-known masserias of the region, all of which can be arranged.
