The Villa Cisternino luxury villa to rent in Puglia comprises three beautifully restored stone trulli/ houses set around a lovely swimming pool, amidst manicured gardens and lawn. Surrounded by ancient olive trees, the property sits nestled on a hilltop conveniently located between the stunning towns of Ostuni and Cisternino, both only 10 minutes away by car. Both towns are known for their picturesque whitewashed houses, narrow streets, historic churches, elegant central piazzas and wonderful Puglian cuisine. Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, Locorotondo, Alberobello and Polignano al Mare are also nearby. It is approximately 20 minutes to the nature reserve and beach of Torre Guaceto or do a day trip and explore the numerous beaches and coves dotted along the entire southern coast. The larger cities of Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli are great for a day trip as well.
Entrance to the property is through electric gates, and there is ample parking for 3 – 7 cars. The swimming pool ( 5x12m) has an inbuilt whirlpool seating section, and surrounding terrace with sun beds. The lovely outdoor dining area has outdoor lighting perfect for relaxing in the evening with a drink or enjoying a barbecue.
The design of the buildings is in keeping with local traditions handed down by craftsmen over hundreds of years. The first house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a well equipped kitchen and living area. The contemporary grey smooth resin floor provides a beautiful contrast to the natural stone throughout this entire property. All the furniture is of the highest quality, and There is underfloor heating and air conditioning. The trullo, which is attached but accessed from the outside, has a double bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. The pool house is detached from the main building and has a terrace, furnished with small wrought iron table and chairs. It has a 4-poster bed with drapes, a small kitchen area and a bathroom. It also has an air conditioning/heating system.
