Villa Bell’Aria is a luxury villa rental with breathtaking views over the private nature sanctuary of the Reschio Estate and to the Appenines beyond. Bell’Aria has been meticulously converted by its owners to create a magnificent and completely private property home that is luxurious without being ostentatious, mixing modern comfort with traditional materials. The result is an elegant Italian Villa with the ease and charm of an English Country House, offering flexible accommodation for anywhere from two to seventeen guests.

Separated into three distinct zones – the North Side, South Side and Garden House – Villa Bell’Aria offers its guests real individual privacy, even at full occupancy. It is an oasis of calm and tranquility perched up on its hill, but also a great place for a gathering of friends, family and children. The gardens and grounds are beautifully landscaped and have a variety of terraces, dining areas, a covered outdoor sitting room with fireplace, a pool house and a separate covered rose loggia beside the generous swimming pool. As with the house itself, the many different areas of the garden give guests spaces in which to be alone, as well as spaces in which to come together. There is also an external bread oven and an astroturf tennis court in the upper garden.

Around the villa, you’ll find cypress-lined avenues perfect for gentle strolls, historic castle chapels to explore, and the estate’s abundant orto, where seasonal produce is freshly harvested. The landscapes of Umbria and Tuscany inspired the canvases of the Renaissance painters, and exploring the hazy hills, medieval hill-top towns, museums and art galleries is a rare treat.

Spend time at the Equestrian Centre watching Spanish horses train with elegance, then pause for lunch at Ristorante Alle Scuderie or a drink at Bar Centrale. Cool off with a swim in the estate’s lake, followed by a picnic in the lakeside cabin. For more activity, take on the resident tennis coach on the Astroturf courts. As the day draws to a close, enjoy cocktails in the Palm Court at the Reschio Hotel, or savour a sunset dinner at Ristorante Al Castello, when the surrounding Etruscan hills glow with enchantment.

Within an hour’s drive of Reschio are the spellbinding towns of Assisi, Arezzo, Cortona, Gubbio, Perugia and Siena. The long summer season, meanwhile, is alive with open-air concerts and opera, as well as little seasonal festas held in villages and towns.
