Spanning over 1,500 idyllic acres of plains and hills, the estate is a true natural paradise. It is home to five medieval castles, four small lakes, and 6km of the historic river Tiber, as well as lush woods, pastures, and fields of wheat, corn, and sunflowers. The property also features a PGI olive grove and is inhabited by herds of deer and hares, creating an unspoiled landscape that blends the splendor of history with the serenity of nature. Guests can explore the estate through five walking and biking trails, complete with picnic areas, or indulge in activities such as truffle and mushroom hunting, wildlife watching, photography, yoga, meditation, and enjoying a relaxing picnic. Additionally, the estate’s working farm provides guests with a variety of delicious locally grown produce, including extra virgin olive oil, fresh vegetables and fruits, pure honey, “Chianina” veal meat, and truffles and porcini mushrooms that can be found in the surrounding woods.

The castle is surrounded by 5,000 square meters of exquisitely manicured gardens, designed by renowned Tuscan landscape architect Alberto Margheriti. These gardens are a masterpiece of natural beauty, adorned with vibrant flowers such as roses, santoline, perovskia, and thyme, as well as pomegranate and cherry trees. Crataegus, laurel, rosemary, and lavender bushes, alongside majestic oak and olive trees, ensure the gardens are always in bloom. Pieve San Quirico Castle, an exquisite 11th-century historic house, is a masterfully restored medieval castle that now serves as a luxurious private residence. Surrounded by a charming courtyard and distinguished by its striking octagonal tower, this castle offers an unparalleled blend of history and modern elegance. The castle’s origins date back to the 11th century, with significant enhancements made in the 13th century by architects from Emperor Frederick II of Swabia’s court, shaping its current majestic appearance.

Renovated to the highest standards, Pieve San Quirico Castle has been transformed into a magnificent villa featuring seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, all while preserving its authentic architectural charm. With breathtaking panoramic views and total privacy, the Counts Giunta Tremi entrusted the region’s finest architects and designers to highlight its historical beauty and timeless appeal. This luxurious villa is the perfect retreat for those seeking a unique and unforgettable experience.

The second castle villa, Tower Palace, has been renovated with a focus on eco-sustainability, incorporating environmentally friendly practices throughout the process. Sustainable materials, energy-efficient appliances, and renewable energy sources have been utilized to reduce the building’s carbon footprint, creating a healthier living environment while minimizing environmental impact.

Our strong commitment to the environment is reflected in our luxurious yet eco-friendly medieval Castles, which have been restored using local materials and energy-efficient appliances to reduce their carbon footprint. We utilize clean and renewable energy from a 140 kWh solar energy system to power the Castles and the entire farm, saving up to 1581 g of CO² per guest. Our eco-conscious practices include water conservation with three artificial lakes to harvest rainwater, energy-efficient heat pumps for climate control, and low-flow faucets, all contributing to a significant reduction in CO² emissions. We also prioritize sustainability by using energy-saving lamps, double-glazed windows, and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Our pool is cleaned with sea salt instead of chlorine, and we grow our own organic produce, including olive oil, honey, and vegetables, while supporting local communities. Additional eco-friendly amenities include electric vehicle charging stations, free mountain bikes for guests, and integrated farming techniques to maintain ecological balance across our 1500-acre estate.

Moreover, the power plant for the Pieve San Quirico Castle (Main House with 7 bedrooms) and the Reception and Offices is now connected to the PV Solar Energy Systems, making the entire property fully powered by renewable energy generated by the Bagnara Estate. Since 1901, the castle has served as the private residence of the Counts Giunta Tremi, the owners of Le Torri di Bagnara. On special occasions, it is made available as a magnificent event space, perfect for destination weddings and other memorable celebrations. The estate features a 1-hectare (2.5-acre) historic park, complete with a stunning Italianate garden, a consecrated chapel, and a saltwater pool. The castle is also licensed for on-site civil wedding ceremonies, making it an ideal location for a truly unforgettable experience.

7 Bedrooms – Up to 15 Guests

Ground Floor: The entrance hall opens into the TV room, which features a comfortable living space with sofas, a fireplace, satellite TV, Blu-ray player, and CD player, perfect for relaxing. A downstairs guest bathroom is conveniently located for easy access. The Periwinkle Master Bedroom is furnished with either a queen-size bed or two twin beds and includes an ensuite bathroom with a large marble bathtub and rain shower. The room offers stunning views of the Tiber Valley. The Primrose Bedroom, also with a queen-size bed, has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, rain shower, as well as views over the gardens and the valley. A Billiards Room with a pool table adds an element of entertainment. The Jasmine-covered Dining Veranda is the highlight of the ground floor, offering panoramic views over the Tiber Valley and gardens, with seating for up to 30 guests. An anteroom is provided for serving meals. The Bar is equipped with a professional Nespresso coffee machine, ice maker, glass washer, and fridge for your convenience. A second guest bathroom is also available.

The Castle Kitchen is exceptional, fully equipped with a professional dishwasher, freezer, fridge, grill (volcanic stone), microwave, multifunction oven, six stoves, kneader, blender, toaster, and food processor, ideal for culinary enthusiasts.

First Floor: The Comfortable Living Room on this level is filled with books, sofas, a fireplace, and a home cinema system with Netflix for entertainment. The Tulip Bedroom features a queen-size bed or two twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with a whirlpool bathtub, rain shower, air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, a safe, hair dryer, and mini fridge, with views over the courtyard and gardens. The Peony Master Bedroom offers a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with a whirlpool bathtub and a rain shower. This room provides magnificent views of the Tiber Valley, the courtyard, and the church. The Geranium Bedroom has a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, along with views of the Tiber Valley and gardens.

Second Floor: The Covered Panoramic Terrace on this floor offers sofas and stunning views of the courtyard, pool, gardens, and the Tower, providing a relaxing space for reading or enjoying massages.

Lower Ground Floor: The Medieval Room is filled with games and includes a full office corner with a telephone, PC, printer, and fax machine. This floor also houses the entrance to the castle’s secret underground passage, which was historically used as an escape route in case of attack.

The Laundry Room is fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board. The Myosotis Bedroom offers a queen-size bed or two twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, rain shower, and views of the courtyard and gardens. The Sacristy 7Flowers Triple Bedroom provides a queen-size double bed or twin beds plus one single bed, an ensuite bathroom with views of the courtyard and gardens.

The Castle Church is a large, still consecrated space devoted to St. Joseph, with a frescoed wooden landing that once housed a pipe organ. It has seating for 70 people, making it ideal for events or intimate gatherings.

Tower Palace Castle:

5 – 7 Bedrooms – Up to 14 Guests

The Tower Palace Villa offers a well-organized and luxurious layout spread across three floors, with air conditioning in every room, including the kitchen and staircases.

Ground Floor: The villa opens into the Suite “The Joker”, a small double bedroom with a queen-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom featuring a rain shower, and a cozy living area. The suite has its own independent entrance from the front square of the Tower. Also on this floor is the entrance hall, providing access to the villa’s main spaces. The fully equipped kitchen boasts NEFF semi-professional appliances, all electric for a modern and efficient cooking experience. The dining room, with a large fireplace, comfortably seats 10, perfect for family or group meals. The spacious open-plan living area (40 sqm) features a large dining table for 15 people, a living area, and a wet bar with a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, and ice maker. Guests can enjoy entertainment on the smart TV with Netflix or step outside to the panoramic terrace, which offers sweeping views. The TV room provides a space for relaxation and unwinding. The laundry room is fully equipped, with a guest bathroom for convenience. Also located on this floor is “The Vassal”, a double bedroom with a king-sized bed (convertible into twin beds) and a luxurious bathroom with a hydromassage shower, cervical cascade, and elegant travertine marble.

First Floor: The “Minstrel” is a single bedroom with an ensuite bathroom featuring a rain shower. The “Princess” is a spacious master suite with a double bedroom (convertible into twin beds), a living room with a fireplace, and a full bathroom with a hydromassage shower, cervical cascade, and travertine marble. The “Lady” is a double bedroom with a bed that can be converted into twin beds, featuring an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, finished in luxurious travertine marble.

Second Floor: “The Falconer” offers a double bedroom with a bed that can be converted into twin beds, an ensuite full bathroom with a hydromassage shower and cervical cascade, and elegant travertine marble finishes. The “Knight” Suite consists of two double bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The suite also includes a studio wardrobe and a bathroom with a rain shower. One bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor, while the wardrobe studio and the second bedroom are positioned on the third floor of the stone tower, connected by an inner wooden staircase.

Surrounding the castle is a breathtaking 5,000 sqm of Manicured Gardens, which includes a beautiful “David Austin” rose garden, a fragrant herb garden, and a vegetable garden, providing a rich variety of greenery and blooms throughout the year. Additionally, there are 3,000 sqm of Terraced Gardens, with a Panoramic Terrace that offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

The outdoor amenities include a magnificent Panoramic Saltwater Pool (14 x 7.5 meters, with a depth of 1.48 meters), perfect for relaxation and recreation. A wooden loggia by the pool is equipped with a stereo multiroom sound system, offering the perfect setting for outdoor entertainment. For added convenience, there is also an Outdoor Shower.
