Full Description

The earliest written record of Villa Mugnana dates to 1537, though its origins may be older. The villa was historically part of a strategic estate, with a small guard tower that once overlooked the valley and the fortified Castello Sezzate and Castello Mugnana, both still visible today. Originally the heart of an agricultural estate, Villa Mugnana retains its historic character with broad stone walls, timber beams, and limewashed surfaces.

The interiors have been restored sensitively to preserve original materials, while heritage furnishings, including 18th-century French armoires and chandeliers, complement the farmhouse’s structure. Modern comforts are integrated discreetly, ensuring that the villa remains authentic and functional without appearing over-decorated.

The grounds include a private salt-water swimming pool with panoramic views, organic olive groves, and fruit trees. Outdoor dining is possible across four terraces, alongside a wood-fire pizza oven and BBQ area. The property also features scenic walking trails, sunrise and sunset viewpoints, and garden games including a ping pong table.
