The interiors of Il Poggio offer a blend of natural materials of the highest craftsmanship and give a traditional homey feeling for guests to relax in and enjoy. Most areas boast high beamed wooden ceilings and original terracotta floors and there are three formal spacious dining rooms. The bright kitchen seamlessly blends traditional elements with contemporary décor, featuring trendy flooring with a geometric motif. It is designed for daily cooking for guests or professional cooks catering events for up to 40 people, as the kitchen is fitted with professional-grade appliances and a wood-fired oven. A cosier dining room that offers a smaller round dining table connects the living areas to the stone staircase that leads to the first floor where all the bedrooms are located. This beautiful stone villa also features a covered loggia with an outdoor wicker seating area that seamlessly connects with another open terrace with a shaded outdoor dining area that features an antique decorative well that adds character to the exterior. Three descending steps lead to thedeck that features a generously sized private heated swimming pool that overlooks the hills. This stunning countryside retreat in Tuscany also offers guests exclusive access to the amenities of Borgo Pignano, which is located just 1.5 km away. From a communal gym and swimming pool to restaurants, a communal TV room and a kids’ club, guests can enjoy a range of high-end facilities before retreating to the privacy and comfort of their villa. Please note that the lower floor of this luxury villa rental in Tuscany is accessible via an ascending flight of stairs. All the bedrooms are on the first floor of the main villa, which is internally connected via stairs, while the independent Fitness suite is just a few metres away.

Lower floor

The entrance opens onto a lobby that features a sofa and two armchairs, while on the right, a staircase leads to the largest formal dining room that features an oval table that seats up to 10 guests. On its right, there is a seating area that consists of four armchairs elegantly arranged opposite an imposing stone fireplace. This cosy sitting room leads to another dining room that boasts a round table that seats four and overlooks the meticulously landscaped garden. The third dining room is the largest and can be accessed via the first one via a large opening in the wall. It boasts a rectangular dining table that seats up to 20 people.

Kitchen: the kitchen is separate from all the dining areas and accessible via the largest dining room. It is a wide and bright room with a secondary entrance at the back that can be used by staff and features professional cooking equipment, a wood oven and another dining table that can accommodate 8 people.

Upper floor

Bedroom 1: It offers a king size convertible into twins and has an ensuite bathroom with double sink and a shower. The rollaway bed can be added to this room upon request and for an extra fee*.

Bedroom 2: This bedroom features a king size bed and an ensuite that offers a double sink and a shower.

Bedroom 3: this large bedroom offers a king size bed and has an ensuite bathroom with double sink with two showers. One shower is walk-in and is within the bathroom. The second shower is arched and has a bench, is in its own dedicated room and is accessible via three steps.

Bedroom 4/Master: This spacious bedroom features a large king size not convertible into a twin and two sumptuous armchairs. Its ensuite offers a double sink and an open area within the bathroom dedicated to a large shower and a bathtub accessible via a step and the wc.

Fitness suite

The stand-alone fitness is just a few metres away from the main villa and is exclusively available to guests staying at Il Poggio.

Outdoor highlights

Dining alfresco: guests can dine alfresco on the patio that also offers a decorative well and a bench that seats up to 6 people. Here, the outdoor dining table is shaded by an umbrella as accommodates up to 8 guests.

Swimming pool deck: it is accessible via three descending stairs and offers a generously sized private heated swimming pool (16×5) lined with sun loungers. It is heated every morning during May, September and October – however the heating can reach up to 23-26 C degrees in the colder months of Spring and Autumn.

Please note that, in alignment with Borgo Pignano commitment to the environment, green technology is used for heating. As a result, the pool temperature during the Spring and Autumn months is maintained between 23–26°C.
