This unique luxury apartment for rent in Rome is situated at the heart of Piazza Navona, attached to the façade of the 17th-century Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. Originally designed as one of the private apartments for Pope Innocent X, who served from 1644–1655, the owners have carefully preserved the original historic charm and features. The apartment spans an impressive 350m², with 26-foot-high ceilings adorned with magnificent frescoes by Allegrini, Baroque-style walls, and marble decorations surrounding the doors, complemented by black Etruscan terracotta floors.

Located on the first floor of a historic palace, the apartment is accessible via a lift or a spiral staircase leading into an entrance hall. On one side, there is a library, while on the other side, a music room with a grand piano. From the library, guests can access the living room, dining area, and an open-plan kitchen. The apartment features two en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom, known as the Pope’s Room, opens to a small columned balcony with breath-taking views over Piazza Navona. The spectacular master bathroom is equally impressive, featuring a round Jacuzzi whirlpool carved from a circular turret, lined with over 300,000 small tiles and a gold base reminiscent of a traditional Roman bath. On the opposite side of the entrance, the music room leads to a studio and the Via dell’Anima Bedroom, which boasts its own luxurious bathroom.

2 Bedrooms – Up to 4 Guests

This luxury apartment holiday rental offers a stunning view of Piazza Navona and is located on the first floor of a historical building, accessible via lift.

The Music Room leads towards the Via Santa Maria d’Anima section of the apartment. Here, muted blue/grey walls and a ceiling fresco beautifully complement the grand piano. Large windows fill the room with natural light.

Next is the Studio, featuring a custom-designed desk by the window, a green velour sofa, and walls adorned with antique Roman books, creating a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere.

The Via dell’Anima Bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a hidden dressing room. At the center of the room is a remarkable 3-meter artwork depicting a chain of delicate porcelain flowers, which harmonize with the frescoed ceiling and the imposing marble fireplace. The entrance to the dressing room is concealed within the closet, which also discreetly hides the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom features separate WC and shower areas, with a lit niche on the central wall housing an antique marble sculpture.

On the opposite side of the entrance, a Corridor and Library await, complete with magnificent frescoed ceilings. In addition to the library, a fireplace and a long velvet bench enhance the space, providing both function and elegance.

The Lounge Bar sits between the kitchen and the master bedroom, featuring a Smart TV and a built-in bar, creating an ideal space for relaxation or entertainment.

In the Kitchen & Dining Room, a full wall of custom shelving backed by brilliant gold adds opulence. A peninsula crafted from precious Amazon marble and a dining table with an intricate pattern of antique marble further elevate the room’s grandeur. An ancient Murano glass chandelier by Seguso adds an extra touch of luxury.

The Master Bedroom (Pope Room) is the highlight of the apartment, originally designed for Pope Innocent X. With ceilings soaring to 8 meters, the spectacular fresco by Allegrini depicts the story of Dido. The high platform that holds the king-sized bed is the room’s centerpiece. The en-suite bathroom features a round whirlpool bath, surrounded by fine micro mosaic detailing.
