La Dolce Vita – a stay in Rome doesn't get much better than this!

The Quirinal Hill, one of the oldest hills on which ancient Rome was built, is home to three of our most beautiful apartments. On a recent trip to Rome, we were lucky enough to enjoy the hospitality here, which is impressive to say the least, in terms of both location and comfort! Luxurious and very private, they are just a 5 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, a Baroque masterpiece and arguably one of Rome’s most beautiful monuments, as well as being known for the famous scene in Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, starring Marcello Mastroianni. The apartments are also just a few steps from Piazza del’Quiranale, the 17thcentury residence of the president of the Italian Republic (and former residence of the Pope). Just around the corner in Via Quirinale, you will find two more gems of Baroque architecture – Bernini’s Chiesa di Sant’Andrea, and Borromei’s San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane. You will also be very close to Rome’s premier shopping district, the Via Condotti and Via del Corso. Furthermore, a 15 minute walk will bring you to the via del Fori Imperiali, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum.

Two of the apartments, although part of a luxury boutique hotel, are separate from the main part of the building, with their own private entrances and spacious terraces. The building is an aristocratic townhouse, built in the early 1900’s by Countess Gabrielle Rasponi Spaletti Trivelli, great grand-daughter of Joachin Murat and Carolina Bonaparte (younger sister of Napoleon 1 of France), and still owned by the same family. Guests at the apartments are able to take advantage of the hotel facilities, including the beautifully furnished breakfast room, and magnificent living areas, furnished with the original antiques, paintings and tapestries, giving a real feel of the history of the property. A delicious breakfast buffet each morning is included in the rental price. Free access is also available to the on-site gym and Wellness Centre, where therapies include such delights as massage treatments, floating sessions in salted water, and a Turkish Bath.

The third apartment is in a separate building in an adjacent street, and guests here are also welcome to use the hotel facilities. It has a lovely feeling of space and is beautifully furnished with antiques and original paintings. It is the largest of the three apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
