Cheltenham, known as the ‘Western Gateway to the Cotswolds’, is also famous for its impressive Regency architecture. The town was designed in the 18th and 19th centuries as a health resort for wealthy visitors, and visitors are still able to enjoy the Spa Waters at the beautiful Pittville Pump Room. Today, the town is more popular for its quality accommodation, restaurants and shopping and, of course, its annual Cheltenham Festival events. With good transport links the town offers the perfect base both for enjoying the town itself, and exploring the picturesque Cotswolds villages and countryside.
Festival attractions include the racing calendar in March, culminating in the Gold Cup. In April there is the Cheltenham Wine Festival in the Pittville Pump Room, then the Jazz festival later in the month then, in mid-May, the horticultural event, the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. Following in June is the Wychwood Music Festival, the Cheltenham Science Festival, the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival and the Royal Three Counties Agricultural Show. The highlight of the summer is the Cheltenham Music Fesitval with a fortnight of music and entertainment throughout the town. The finale of the Cheltenham Festivals series is the Cheltenham Literature Festival, which takes place in October.
We offer a beautiful luxury townhouse here, which can be rented by the room, or as an entire house for up to 26 people, perfect for a special event.
