The beach at Cala Deia is accessed from the villa rental down a winding road through pretty olive groves. There is a car park down by the beach, but this does get very busy in the summer. Fishing and diving trips can be arranged, or there are also two excellent beach-side restaurants. The sandy bay at Soller is about a 15 minute drive and for those who are unfazed by a particularly dramatic drive, Pto Valldemossa is an untouched spot at the bottom of a steep and winding road.

This luxurious stone-built villa for rent sits in a wonderful position overlooking Deia Cove, Mallorca, just a short distance from the beach and 3kms from Deia village. The village was for many years the home to the English poet and novelist, Robert Graves, and is considered the cultural capital of Mallorca. As a result, it has been a haven for artists, writers and musicians since the early 20th century, many of them making permanent homes in an around the village. With the towering mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana as its backdrop, the ancient village feels secluded, yet is just 40 kms from Palma. Any building work has been limited to using local materials, to ensure that the houses blend in naturally with the landscape. Furthermore, there are no facilities for coach parking, so this very pretty mountain village remains unspoilt and only accessed by independent travellers.
