Luxury Villas to Rent in Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic islands, which also has the most diverse landscape, ranging from beaches to mountains, flat agricultural land, and a major city. The island has a very pleasant, temperate climate, being protected from the cold winds of the north by a chain of mountains, the Sierra de Tramontana, which run from the southwest to the northwest of the island.
The capital city, Palma, dates back to Roman times and, once beyond the modern high-rise buildings and hotels, the old part of the city, with its narrow medieval streets has much to offer in the way of architectural and historical interest. As gateway to the Balearics, it is served by a modern international airport with daily flights from many European cities. For those wanting to take their own car, there are also ferry services to Palma from Barcelona and Valencia on mainland Spain.
Many of our luxury villas to rent in Mallorca are close to the idyllic village of Deia, with its green-shuttered, ochre-coloured houses, galleries, boutiques, character-filled cafes and bars, as well as some excellent restaurants, including the Michelin starred Es Raco D’es Tex. Situated in the most picturesque part of the island, overlooking the sea, and with the mountains behind, there is also a small shingle beach, Cala Deia, for swimming, or dining in one of the two restaurants here which specialize in fresh fish. Tennis is available at the La Residencia Hotel and, for the more active, hiking trails in the mountains. Further north we have some stunning rental villas near the coast at Soller. We also offer a growing selection of luxury villa rentals at Puerto Andratx in the south-west of the island. In the north of the island we have villas to rent near Pollensa, and on and near the coast at Puerto Pollensa, Alcanada and Santa Margalida.
