From the large first floor sun terrace, there are views of the Mediterranean Sea,  and despite its rural setting, it is just a 10 minute drive from some of most picturesque and unspoilt coastal gems on the Costa Brava, including Aigua Blava, Tamariu and Llafranc.  It is also just a 30 minute drive from Peratallade, a beautifully preserved walled medieval village, and 22 Pals, another charming medieval village to the east of Girona. There is also a good choice of golf courses between  10 – 40 kms from the property.

The very spacious interiors are spread over three floors and tastefully restored to retain much of its original character and charm, including exposed stone work and vaulted hand painted ceilings. There are several living rooms, as well as a pool room, TV room and library. Each of the ten bedrooms has an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and central heating. The many amenities here make it the perfect holiday choice for a large extended family or group of friends, as well as being very suitable for weddings and other special events, as well as yoga retreats.

The extensive gardens comprise immaculate lawns colourful flowers and shrubs, as well as both sunny and shaded terraces, and a large swimming pool. There is also a poolside pergola, barbecue and outdoor dining areas within the grounds, perfect for relaxing in during the day or by romantic candlelight in the evening. Guests can also enjoy a full size tennis court, a table-tennis court, and a children’s playground area.  Tennis and table tennis equipment is also provided. Last, but not least, there is the private SPA, which has an indoor heated swimming pool with incorporated Jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna and a fitness room.

Main House

Suite Menta: With a lovely hand-painted, vaulted ceiling, this suite also has a private furnished 110 m2 terrace, perfect for enjoying the stunning views.

Suite Faragola: With exposed stone walls, this suite has a romantic, elegant atmosphere.

Suite Lavanda: A family/group suite with two sleeping areas: one with two single beds (which when put together make a Queen size bed),  and a second with 2 sets of bunk beds.

Suite Fonoll: Decorated in a rustic, minimalist style, its spacious en suite bathroom is a tasteful combination of pale colours and wood, and has a traditional vaulted ceiling.

Suite Romani: This suite combines light furnishings with traditional stone walling and a typical Catalan-style vaulted ceiling. The spacious en suite bathroom has a modern wall-to-wall mirror that contrasts with the traditional stone work.

Suite Ginesta: Pastel colours here are the backdrop to rich, dark wood furniture, and the suite opens to a 30m² private terrace.

Suite Horitzo: With an elegant décor, this suite has stunning panoramic views across green hillsides to the Mediterranean beyond.

Suite Capelleta (Chapel Suite): This suite  is located in what is believed to have once been the property’s  private chapel. Decorated in an elegant minimalist style and with wheelchair access, it is located on the ground floor with its own private entrance (via the main courtyard), which also makes it suitable for private staff: nannies, maids etc.

La Caseta

Located across the courtyard opposite the main house La Caseta was originally the groundsman’s cottage, and has been furnished and decorated in a tasteful country style, with with rag washed timber beams, solid stone walls and pretty hand painted furniture. It has one double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with en suite facilities. A utility room is situated just off a spacious open plan kitchen/ living/ dining area. Patio doors conveniently open out to a sunny terrace, equipped with outdoor dining table, sofa and armchairs, making it the perfect place for eating al fresco. The property sleeps up to 4-6 people in 2 bedrooms, all with central heating and air-conditioning
