From its position on a high plateau, this luxury villa to rent benefits from outstanding views over the Douro River. Built in the XVII century, the villa retains its original charm and character, while adding modern comforts. The luxury villa rental in the Douro Valley offers plenty of space for a relaxing holiday for a large family, or a group of friends.
The Quinta is surrounded by beautiful gardens and terraces, and there is also a swimming pool (6 x 12m, with Roman steps) in a stunning position, taking full advantage of the magnificent views over the vineyards and the river. There is also a pool house with WC and a kitchenette. Other activities here include a gym, converted from the old “lagares” (stone troughs in which grapes were trodden), and there is also a padel court, and a snooker table, for guests to enjoy. The wine cellar with traditional earthen floors, once used to maintain the ideal temperature and humidity for wine storing, now offers a special setting for a celebratory dinner, or a corporate get together.
The outdoor living and dining areas are furnished for relaxing outdoors during the long summer days and evenings. Indoors, there are two separate sitting rooms, the main one with panoramic windows and a smaller sitting room with a card games table, and a fireplace, perfect for out of season stays when the weather is cooler. Air-cooling and central heating available throughout the property, as well as fireplace logs, supplied for winter rentals. All six bedrooms at this luxury villa to rent in the Douro Valley have en-suite bathrooms, with four of the bedrooms also having direct access to the exterior.

Entrance hall and guest WC. Fully equipped kitchen (and larder and laundry), opening to the barbecue patio (barbecue and wood oven). Indoor dining room opening onto central courtyard. Home office opening to central courtyard. Covered terrace with fabulous views for outdoor meals. Small sitting/games room with fireplace. Very large sitting room with panoramic windows. . 2 Double bedrooms (king size bed 180×200 cms) with en-suite shower bathroom, and also with vineyard and river views. These rooms can also be made up as a twin bedrooms (2 beds 90x200cms) on request.
Lower Level
1 Twin bedroom suite (2 beds of 107×193 cms) with a shower bathroom, opening onto garden and with vineyard and river views. 2 Double bedroom suites (bed of 160×200 cms) each with a shower bathroom, opening to garden, and vineyard and river views.
Extra Accommodation is available on request (Top level triple room for children and an extra twin bedroom & shower bathroom. A single bedroom with bathroom can also be accessed from the garden.

Buffet style breakfast (guests will enjoy produce from the Quinta’s own vegetable garden and other locally sourced products). The Quinta produces its own table wines, which guests can taste during their stay.

These include arrangement of pre-arrival groceries, wine shopping and delivery, laundry service, airport transfers or car with driver, spa treatments etc.

This 17th century winemaking Quinta, has been beautifully renovated throughout, yet retaining original character. With spectacular views over the River Douro, it is situated close to the town of Mesão Frio.
