This classic Portuguese Quinta Villa Portimão luxury villa to rent on the Algarve has been in the same family for over 360 years. The luxury villa rental sits within 92 hectares of land and is still a working estate. Combining a classic traditional Quinta style with modern amenities, this holiday rental in the Algarve is perfect for large families or groups of friends wanting to holiday together, yet retain a degree of independence. In high season, the entire property must be rented for up to 18 people, but outside high season, the three individual properties can be rented as either of the smaller cottages for 2 – 4 people, or the third larger property (a wing of the original Quinta) for up to 10 people.

The wing of this Algarve villa rental, attached to the main Quinta building, has 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, all on one floor (1 suitable for wheelchair users), opening onto an orange tree courtyard for breakfast and outdoor meals. The two identical cottages have been converted from old farm buildings, and each features a mezzanine level, and an open-plan ground floor. All three properties here have their own fully equipped kitchen and are fitted with fireplaces (logs provided), central heating and air conditioning for year-round rentals. Further amenities in each property include flat screen 42” LCD Satellite TV, Wi-Fi and hairdryer. Separate laundry facilities are shared by all properties.

Within this impressive villa rental’s grounds is a fenced-in swimming pool with Roman steps (size 12.5x8m, depth 1.60m), and outdoor shower. There is also poolside shade and sun loungers, pool towels (one for each guest per week are provided), and there is a barbecue.  This is a quiet and calm setting away from the hustle bustle of the coast, allowing you to fully relax with a book by the pool, take a walk, go horse riding or play a round of golf nearby. The closest beach (Alvor), is also only a 10 minute drive away.

Accommodation:

Wing (10 guests)

Entrance hall. Twin/double bedroom (2 beds of 90cm x 200cm) with en-suite shower bathroom. Double bedroom (bed of 200cm x140cm) with en-suite shower bathroom, suitable for a disabled person/wheel chair user. The largest suite has a twin/double bedroom (2 beds of 90cmx200cm) with a small sitting room and a full bathroom. Central open plan sitting/dining room opening onto orange tree courtyard. Kitchen. Twin/double bedroom (2 beds of 90cm x 200cm) with en-suite full bathroom. Extra double bedroom (bed of 200cm x 160cm) with en suite shower bathroom (this room belongs to the main Quinta building but has direct access to the Wing).

Cottages (2 – 4 guests)

Ground Floor:

Open-plan sitting and dining room with 2 single sofa beds, kitchenette with rear access and shower bathroom.

First Floor/Mezzanine Level:

Twin/double bedroom (2 beds of x 90cm x 200cm) with en-suite shower bathroom.

Resident staff live in a self-contained cottages within the Quinta and daily housekeeping is included, as well as a continental style breakfast served every day between 9:00-11:00. Bedroom and bathroom linen changed every 4 days.

Family rentals with children under 8 years of age are accepted only with full rental of all 3 cottages at the Quinta. As it is a working farm estate, young children must be supervised.
