The lovely Eremite 1 Luxury apartment to rent in Venice is in an enchanting location, overlooking one of the prettiest canals in Venice, the Rio delle Romite (sometimes known as ‘Rio Dell’ Eremite’ or ‘Canal of the Hermits’). It is also opposite one of the most historic and well known restaurants in the city, Locanda Montin. It is a peaceful and tranquil location, although definitely not isolated. Within a minute’s walk down the alleyway opposite, with its little illuminated shrine, you will reach the Fondamenta Toletta, a charming street of bookshops, a bar, gelataria, ATM and the canalside tables of the small, but highly popular, ‘Enoteca Ai Artisti’. It is also within a minute’s walk of the fine restaurants of Calle Lunga San Barnaba which leads directly to the delightful Campo San Barnaba and then onto the Ca’ Rezzonico vaporetto stop and the highly impressive Ca’ Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art, with its commemorative plaque to the poet Robert Browning, right by the Grand Canal.
