Villa Porto Ercole

The stunning Villa Porto Ercole luxury villa rental on the Tuscan Coast is situated on a hillside with views over the sea, Feniglia Beach, the Cala Galera Yacht Club and the Orbetello lagoon. Surrounded by woodland, and just below a terraced vineyard and olive grove, the location is quiet and idyllically Mediterranean. The pretty seaside resort of Port Ercole, just 4 kms away, is one of the most famous in Tuscany. The fortresses dominating the hillside above the perfect little natural harbour, are reminders of a turbulent history. Now Porto Ercole is more associated with pleasure, good food, boats and relaxation. It has a wonderful buzz during the summer season when the long seaside promenade is filled with people strolling by the shops, cafes and restaurants, next to the boats anchored in the harbour.

Entrance to the property is up a long and winding driveway to the main gate, with its impressive cypress trees. The garden, with its pink and white flowers, the olive grove, shrubs of rosemary and a small rose garden, make the garden very special. There is also a vegetable garden providing fresh produce for guests to enjoy every day. The furnished terraces provide plenty of space for relaxing outdoors. There is an infinity pool, surrounded by a sun deck, and a pergola covered living area with large, comfortable sofas. The outdoor dining area with barbecue is accessed via a beautiful wisteria covered pergola, and enjoys 180 degree views over the lagoon and the sea. There is also a bathroom near the pool, with antique stone washbasin.

Inside, large hand-made terracotta floor tiles, and natural wood ceiling beams give a wonderfully warm atmosphere. The brand new kitchen, also in natural wood, is very well equipped. The dining room also offers amazing views of the pool, vineyard and the bay, from a large window. The living room has a fireplace, a large TV screen, a bookcase with a large number of DVDs, and books, including maps and guidebooks on Tuscany. Amenities include satellite TV, VCR/DVD, stereo and I-pod docking station (providing music both inside and outside on the terraces, Wi-Fi internet, a hairdryer and safe. Each bedroom features a hand painted headboard, and the bathrooms have hand-made Amalfi coast tiles. Other amenities include ping pong, table football and a gym. The well equipped gym has walls of natural stone and views to the surrounding woodland, as well as a TV, sauna and bathroom. There is a much smaller 3 bedroom villa with outdoor jacuzzi on the same estate, but this is not visible from the main villa. However, the two could be rented together for larger groups of up to 20 people.

All 7 bedrooms, the lounge, dining room and playroom now have air conditioning.

Lower Floor

Three bedrooms are on the lower level, and open to the terrace with the wisteria covered pergola.

Bedroom 3: Master double bedroom, with living area and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 4: Double bedroom, with bathroom. Bedroom 5: Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

Across the courtyard, there are two further bedrooms on the first floor, both with en-suite bathrooms.
