The Villa Pigra luxury villa to rent on Lake Como, and offers breathtaking views of the lake, mountains and sunsets. A liberty-style villa built in 1909, it has recently been fully restored to exceptional standards, offering 1,231m2 of living space, and surrounded by 4.5 acres of private gardens. The views from the luxury villa rental on Lake Como can be enjoyed from the balconies off every bedroom, as well as the main terrace, the pool house and infinity swimming pool. The pretty mountain village of Pigra, with a couple of restaurants, is just 300m away, and the popular lakeside village of Argegno can be reached by taking the cable car, 500 m from the villa gates. Argegno is just a 4 minute walk from the cable car station by the lake and offers a wider range of restaurants as well as lakeside activities. The villa has its own luxury boat moored at the bottom of the funicular in Argegno, which is ideal for visiting some of the lovely lakeside restaurants.

The accommodation at this outstanding holiday villa to rent on Lake Como comprises 8 double bedrooms (7 bathrooms), a drawing room, living room, dining room, kitchen and media room. The villa comfortably sleeps 14 people, and additional children’s beds can be made available. All the bedroom suites are contemporary and stylish in keeping with the villa’s elegant features. There are 11 bathrooms in total (10 in the main house and one in the poolhouse), of which 7 are en-suite. A lift links the three main floors, as well as the caretakers’ apartment and laundry in the basement. There are Dyson AM07 air conditioning fans in all the bedrooms (they can be easily shifted to the other rooms/ common areas when required). Further amenities include wi-fi, English satellite television channels, Sonos audio systems, children’s electronic games (PS4 and the Wii) and a wide selection of board games.

Set in a beautiful position with 360 degree views over the lake is the 22m long heated infinity pool, with Jacuzzi attached. There is also a pool house which, with all the full length windows folded away, appears to float over the pool, and has a kitchen, bar and a comfortable seating area. As well as numerous sunbathing spots around the pool, and also on the pool house roof, there are two additional alfresco dining locations. There is also a changing room and bathroom, and a stunning yoga/wellness facility. This large room with lake views also includes an area for gym equipment (Kinesis cable weight training system, a rowing machine, an exercise bike, dumbbells, stretch bands and exercise balls). This room also has an en-suite WC, steam room and shower. 6 mountain bikes (suitable for adults) are also available at the property. A playground: including a treehouse, trampoline, Tibetan bridges and zip line, slide (children must be under adult supervision).

First Floor (3 double bedrooms)

The large south facing Lombardy Suite has a balcony and terrace, both overlooking the lake. There is also a dressing room and modern bathroom.

The Tuscany Suite also faces the lake and is joined to the East facing Veneto Suite by a large shared bathroom. Both suites have balconies with lake views.

The West facing Liguria Suite also has a balcony to enjoy the mountain views and the sunsets, as well as a large bathroom.

Second Floor (4 double bedrooms)

This floor mirrors exactly the layout of the first floor, including the balconies and terraces. The large Piedmont Suite enjoys a southern aspect over the lake. The Umbria Suite also looks south and shares a large bathroom with the Abruzzo Suite which looks East. The Apulia Suite enjoys the mountain views to the north.

Third Floor

This extraordinary open space provides a number of different entertainment areas. There are two large seating areas for relaxing (with (TV, projector, music system and board games). There is also a pool table, kitchenette and WC at this level. Two roof terraces offering superb lake views can be accessed from this floor. One of these also features an attractive bar and raised viewing platform, perfect place for enjoying a day’s end sundowner.

The Liberty Suite is also a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom at the tallest point of the house.  Accessed from the third floor, this suite enjoys wonderful light and stunning views from huge double   windows on two sides.

Services included within rental price:

Villa Manager: 6 days a week; 8 hours a day (9am-1 pm; 4-8 pm). This time schedule is flexible depending on the guest’s schedules

Housekeeping Staff – 8 hours a day (8 am- 12 pm; 5-9 pm), 6 days a week, including mid week bedroom and bathroom linen changes. If guests wish to utilise the staff for extra hours or to have additional staff this will be at extra charge.

Chef & assistant: 6 days a week; this includes the preparation of 2 meals per day (lunch and dinner): Food and beverage costs and additional chef hours required to be paid at extra cost separately.

Continental buffet style breakfast prepared by housekeepers (food and beverage cost excluded)

Additional Services at extra cost:

All additional services can be arranged separately e.g. private driver, additional staff, personal trainer, massage, tennis coach, shopping assistant, tours etc. When possible advise before arrival, otherwise this needs to be arranged and coordinated by the Villa Manager together with the main guest during the stay at the villa.

Sitting high above Lake Como, the villa benefits from breathtaking views. The village of Pigra is just 300m away, and at 500m is a cable car which will take guests down to the village of Argegno on the edge of the lake, where there is also a private boat mooring.

€66,600 - €84,375 per week

Security Deposit: €10,000 held against damages to the property.

Food and Beverage Deposit: A food and beverage deposit of €2,000 is required for all the grocery costs during guests stay.
