Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is the most southerly of the Ionian Islands and popular as a holiday destination for its diverse landscape, including beautiful beaches, quaint traditional mountain villages, olive groves and vineyards. The Venetians, who ruled Zakynthos from 1484 to 1797, called the island “Fioro di Levante” (Flower of the East) for its thousands of species of flowers The third largest of the Ionian islands that lie to the west of the Greek mainland, Zakynthos has much to offer holidaymakers of all ages and interests.... from busier stretches of sandy beaches, to small peaceful coves. Famous beaches on the island include Navagio beach, with its iconic shipwrecked boat lying on the sand, and the expansive Laganas beach, breeding ground of the rare Caretta-Caretta loggerhead sea turtle.
The Blue Caves in the very north of the island are home to six of our rental villas, situated on a private estate of 40,000m2, just above the famous caves. It is also just a 20 minute boat ride to the famous Navagio shipwreck.
