Sifnos is situated in the Western Cyclades, and is relatively untouched by tourism. Its appeal is for those looking for a holiday rental on a traditional Greek island with white sand beaches and historically unspoiled villages, churches and monasteries. Apollonia, the island’s capital and just a 7 minute drive from our villa to rent on Sifnos, is a beautiful town with narrow streets and white-washed houses, built in the shape of an amphitheatre over three hills. The town offers some excellent tavernas offering fresh fish and other local delicacies. Beaches to try include Kamares, the port of the island, with a sandy beach lined with trees and beach bars, or Platís Yialós, arguably the liveliest beach on the island,or Vathi, another sandy beach with many tavernas. 

There is no airport on the island, so the only way to travel to Sifnos is by ferry. There are ferries to Sifnos almost daily from the port of Piraeus in Athens. There are also ferry connections between Sifnos and other islands of Cyclades, including Folegandros, Ios, Syros, Santorini, Kimolos, Kythnos, Milos, Paros, Serifos and Sikinos.
